Jeremy Cowart

Annie Downs described Cowart best on his website:

Now hailed as one of the trailblazers in the industry, Jeremy sees taking a photograph as merely the first step in creating a piece of art.

But it’s not just about that. It’s about having a natural eye behind the camera. It’s about knowing the light, the location, the subject. It’s about treating each client like a friend. And that’s what Jeremy does best.

Photography has taken Jeremy to six continents. Jeremy’s skills behind the camera have allowed him to work with many clients in the entertainment industry, such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Sting, Clive Owen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Imogen Heap, Courtney Cox, and Ryan Seacrest, just to name a few.

Cowart is also the founder of  Help-Portrait, a worldwide movement of photographers using their time, equipment, and knowledge to help those in need.

In his blog, he often talks about his recent work in a way that inspires the reader and gives them insight into his thoughts behind the shoot.  Some posts contain more personal work that won’t be found in his portfolio.  Others address the deeper aspects of photography as art and as a career.

Cameron Davidson

Final Cameron Davidson

Cameron Davidson is an aerial and people photographer from Northern Virginia. You can view more of his work here.

Clients include Vanity Fair, National Geographic, Audubon, and Smithsonian.  He has also documented the Community Coalition for Haiti aid projects since 1999. Many know him for his 20-year project that illuminated the fragility and beauty of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Davidson’s book, called Chesapeke, is one of six that he has authored.

What I know for sure is that I love to shoot. I have to shoot. It’s been that way since I found a camera in the back of a closet at the age of fourteen.

Davidson’s awe-inspiring aerial images elicit an appreciation for beauty that is equalled only by his portrait photography.

    Sean Flanigan

Sean Flanigan explains his work best:

I love documenting life with a creative eye, whether I’m working with couples or on assignment for the Wall Street Journal. I like getting in the mix, up close and personal with the people and places I shoot, because that’s the best way I know to show what’s really happening.

Flanigan is primarily a wedding photographer with a film-inspired look and a clean, classic style. His posts often focus on a single photo or piece of work and go deeply into the story behind it.  Many of the posts really let the photos speak for themselves and, well, they certainly have a lot to say.

    NickOken

    NickOnken

In a baby picture that documents Nick Onken‘s first encounter with photography, he’s holding a Kodak 110 Instamatic. Upside down. Not taking a photo. Probably trying to get it in his mouth or balance it on top of something. Though, the thing did look like a building block, give the kid a break. He was only 3! And the sun was in his eyes.
Nick shots fashion and commercial photos mostly and in his page you can find a lot of his work, he works for great agencies like Adidas, Coca-Cola, Old Navy, Billboard and MANY MORE!!!
